So the SYM team went to Fudruckers and I ordered up an ostrich burger. It was more or less a bet from Andy, but I love to eat new foods and this sure sounded like that qualified. Apparently they are selling pretty well. So I ate $4.99 worth of the flightless bird – which roughly equates to 1/3 lb on a sesame seed bun. How great is it that we live in a country that allows us to eat exotic animals on a whim for lunch? And it was actually pretty good, too!
And the ostrich farmers rejoiced.

Here in South Africa ostrich meat is quite common. Apparently is it much better for you then beef. Lower in cholesterol etc. The supermarkets have ostrich steaks, sausages, burgers, biltong etc.
