You have to give 100% to your job, and how it supports the overall mission of the student ministry and church. Your job is critical to the discipleship process of the ministry, and you have to give it everything you’ve got. Refuse the temptation to focus solely on your role and not on the big picture.

Worst of all, don’t exclude pitching in on the efforts of the rest of your team. Give an extra 10% to other people on your team. Their efforts are also mission critical, and your boost could help it go from “pulling it off” to something really special. The community you bring to the project could help it get that big idea it needs, or help push it to the finish line.
