Started discussions this week to program (for the 3rd year in a row) the National Youth Ministry Conference that Simply Youth Ministry and Group Publishing are putting on in Columbus, Ohio this February.

I went to Refuge 08 at Student Life in Alabama last week. When I got back I posted hotel hotel on my blog so my church would know what I’m up to when I go to conferences.
We watched the slap announcements twice in our office yesterday. Something fun about watching to grown men slapping each other’s naked chests and screaming out in pain.

I was in Youth Ministry for a year when I attended this conference. Before I went, I felt inadequate, worthless and alone. At the conference, I felt at home with thousands in the same boat I was in.
Instead of being alone in a dinghy facing a great white, I was on a freighter with 2000 friends dealing with everyday minnows.
Now I have a large group of YPs I can text, facebook, email or call. AWESOME!
