Played non-stop Lego Batman with the kids this weekend, clearing all 15 of the Batman/Robin stages and headed into the 15 villian levels as well. The game is totally fun – while not as compelling as Lego Star Wars (A-, review here) and better than the still solid Lego Indiana Jones (B). It relies more on puzzles and suits rather than the diverse cast of the Lego Star Wars games, but once you get the hang on them they add some fun new twists to the established formula. Lego Batman has learned from the previous games and brings all of the good from the previous titles to the forray. My only disconnect was to the source material – because I know Star Wars and Indy far better than The Dark Knight.
If you’ve liked the Lego games up to this point, you’ll dig Lego Batman on Xbox 360. B+

I’d give the wii version a c. It just seemed like i could mass buttons and wave the remote and then i’d somehow magically solve the puzzle. oh well.
And I’d bump up your grade a bit for the reason you mentioned – I connected with the source material more.
I, too, put in some major time with Lego Batman this weekend and absolutely loved it. I honestly would have a difficult time saying which I liked better, this or Star Wars. I might fall in the Batman camp simply because I like Batman so much.
The Lego games appeal to the obsessive in me – there’s so much stuff to collect, but it’s attainable. Some games put you on task to collect 400 flags (I’mlooking at you, Assassin’s Creed!), and I know from the get-go that there’s no way I’ll ever do that. But 10 Lego canisters per level? Sure! 15 hours later, I’m wondering where the time went!
