How excited am I about this? We had some other plans fall through, so we came up with this quick. Should be awesome. They’ll vote (using polleverywhere.com) which of the movies we should watch, except will exclude The Phantom Menace, which sucked.

That’s awesome! Out of curiosity, how are you handling the licensing? My understanding was that you had to apply (and pay!) in advance to show a commercial film outside of a home setting…do you know a way around that? Many a planned movie night has been spoiled by the need to pay “the man”…

Kyle – I had the same question. I had heard that licensing Lucas films was very expensive. Would love to know how you handled this, Josh.

josh, the fact that you think phantom menace sucked knocked you up a few notches in my standings. you’ve probably written it elsewhere but i’ve just missed it. i own 5 star wars movies on dvd. i refuse to buy phantom menace…

Ahh, forgot about the CVLI…I got a mailing about it at some point but wrote it off due to the cost. I also don’t think I realized it covered major studios. Guess that’s one of the advantages of having a big budget!

Hope it’s a fun night…I think I’d vote for Ep. VI, personally.
