This year we’re changing up when we do camp – we’ve been “end of summer” for several years now, and this year we’re going with early summer. What do you think works best in your setting?

I personally prefer early in the summer…not as hot and I like doing a mission trip to climax our summer
We sort do a middle to end of the summer… last week in july is when we usually do it and it works out great every year. we have done it previously in middle of june before and it sort of throws off our whole summer. i personally think near the end is better, but that’s just my opinion- you’ll have to let us know how it works out for you
I like to shoot for the first couple weeks of summer because
1) It’s not as hot (agree, Chris)
2) School start-ups for sports, leadership, and last-ditch family vacations take up all of August
3) It’s a great kick-off to the “summer campaign”.
Is the vid in flash? Can’t see it on my iPad!!!
We do a Reach week-long camp experience towards the beginning of the summer (which is end of June or first week in July with many of our families going on vacation etc right after school ends) that fuels the excitement and passion for our summer series. We then finish off the summer with a weekend camping trip that is focused on challenging committed students to Grow (though it is a fun water ski weekend, so the gospel is clearly presented for any visitors) as they head into the school year..
