Josh GriffinMore PostsThe 10 Reasons People Attend Your Church

For a long time I’ve read that youth ministry is one of the most important factors in which church a family decides to attend. The statement has largely been anecdotal and/or just feels right based on what you would personally rank the of the church – is there any fact to back it up?

Well, I think there might be a little insight based on a survey done here at Saddleback in our membership class. Our Membership Pastor, Tommy Hillaker, has done some pretty exhaustive questioning of the new members of the church the past several years. The results I’ll share with you are from an informal survey over three years of 8,000 people who were in the process of joining the church. Each of the next 10 weekdays I’ll post one of the reasons people attend here with a few paragraphs of commentary, in order from #10 all the way down to #1. Should be fun – stay tuned for #10 later today – I think you might be surprised by the results.
