How about a poll to see how long YP’s have been in Youth Ministry? I’d be curious to see that.
I love to see the high numbers in some longer durations. It is great that some youth workers can be ministering into one community for such a long time. I have been a year and a half at my current church can’t wait to be 5+
What about “How long did you stay at your previous position?” I am currently in the 1-2 year segment, but a little over a year ago, I would have been in 5-9 year spot. It could show the difference of those who hop and those who transition.
Still in my first position and in the 10+ catagory. Good to see so many in the 5+, even the 3-4 range, but who are you guys in the 10+ with me?

I’ve been where I am for 7 years and was at the place I was before for a couple months short of that. There is something to be said for sticking around in one place long term. That said… if God says go, I don’t think we’re doing anyone any favors by staying put.
It does seem pretty unlikely that God would have us moving every 9-18 months though.
