I would probably add a fifth and call it "Wisdom in Leadership." As a youth pastor, it's incredibly easy to get overwhelmed, and overwhelm yourself with a pile of mediocre program ideas that might work. To be effective, you can't just search for more "ideas," but instead dive into proven principles and approaches. We don't need any more stressed out youth pastors ;) Some really great points. I moved from high school teaching to youth ministry about 8 years ago and quickly found out the importance of all of these factors. As I've been contacted by other churches about youth positions, I've tried to help them look for someone who loves youth and loves serving God and not just focus on someone who they think the kids will think is "cool".
