I got a feeling that Carly Smithson will be our first non-American American Idol winner. But neither of your two picks would surprise me either.
i like to guess, not who wins AI, but rather who will actually have a decent career. For this it’s tough between Castro and Cook. Unless Archuleta can work his way into the next HSM movie.
Archuleta. The charisma and popularity of Sanjaya, but can actually sing well.
AI is rigged this year all for fear of the “vote for the worst” like with Sanjaya last year. Down with AI!

Archuleta will probably win and, really, needs to win. If one of the people who have already had a record deal (i.e. Smithson) win this season, I think that could be the beginning of the end for American Idol’s popularity.
Chikizie home tonight? He brought the house down. Anyways, three weeks ago, I would’ve said Archuletta, but man, his standards are so high now each time he takes the stage, and I think we’re going to see him crumble under the pressure. And I hope Cook doesn’t win, so he can do the music he wants to do when he gets a record out there, so….the winner will be Brooke White

This is one talented group. I think it will end up being David A. winning the whole thing. But I think that Carley, Brooke, and David Cook are pretty amazing. It’s anyone’s guess. I don’t see Chikizie going home after that performance. Should be Kristi tonight hands down.
Much to the despair of my young sons who have a huge crush on Kristi–she’s gotta go home. Love David A–what a doll. I’m no professional, but what’s up with his thick breath-intake thing? Makes me want to reach for my inhaler!
David A will win, best voice out there…unless he can’t actually remember the words. I think the stripper David will go home tonight.

Jason all the waaaaay! I’m with ya on that.
And you might be surprised to know that he’s got an ENORMOUS “Dreadhead” fan base. If they can carry him all the way…I believe he’s got it!
1. David Cook (he’s got an awesome range to his voice, and is by far the most creative… he’s got the charisma and level-headedness that Daughtry lacked. I mean how many rockers admit to doing crossword puzzles? He’s amazingly comfortable in his own skin and doing his thing. He also reaches out to a wide variety of people, rockers as well as pop fans because of covers for such artists as L. Richie and M. Jackson. He’s my winner if he remains as consistent as he’s been.)
2. David Archuleta (the kid can do no wrong, but I don’t see him gaining many votes from other contestants as they leave, except maybe Jason Castro’s)
3. Carly Smithson (I have confidence she’ll find her way back into her groove. She’s got the voice and the attitude.)
4. Brooke White (Love her. Just don’t think she has what it takes to win the whole thing.)
5. Michael Johns (Consistent and gorgeous.)
6. Jason Castro (he’s got a fabulous teen girl fan base. And the dreadhead population as well. He doesn’t have great range, and he rarely shows much personality. I really don’t think he has the stage presence to make it.)
7. Ramiele Malubay (she’s cute, but lacks confidence that a great performer would need. She’s forgettable to me.)
8. Kristy Lee Cook (big country fan base mostly because she’s the only country person there. She could make it higher than 8, but I don’t think she’s deserved it. AND I’M A BIG COUNTRY FAN.)
9. Syesha Mercado (She’s goofy, and I love her personality. I’d love to see her in a broadway musical, but I don’t think selling records is what she’s meant to do with her career.)
10. Chikezie (He’s already gone home.)
I think David Archuleta is going to win. I just absolutely love him. He is the most talented person. I like David Cook second.
I predict that the top three will be Carly Smithson, David Cook, and David Archuleta. Carly Smithson is my pick for the winner, but any of those three could win it all.
Omg! I love Jason Castro! He is my idol! Hi fives for loving Jason! I bet that if people from other country could vote, Jason would win! Pity that the Americans would probably go for someone like David A (Who’s probably too young to survive in the fame after Idol) or David Cook (Argh, can’t stand him at all! But each to their own)

I dont think David Archuleta is a stupid kid. He has a beautiful voice, but gasps through his songs and licks his lips alot. He also lacks the maturity and stage presence to be an idol. He can not handle anything other than a ballad, and his songs all end up sounding the same.
David Cook has it all. The voice, stage presence. He can write songs, arrange them to where they work , he is smart, and just has the overall talent that an american idol should have. My vote lies with Cook.
