Book Review: The 5 Dysfunctions of a Team
Just wrapping up my 3rd Patrick Lencioni book of the Fall – the business best-seller and classic The Five Dysfunctions of a Team. Honestly, this is an excellent resource to help you recognize who you’ve got and how to get them to work together. The power of the individual is not as important as the power of the team – and this classic coaching mantra is the basis of the book. The typical dysfunctions, many of which you’ll immediately recognize in your setting, are the absense of trust, fear of conflict, lack of commitment, avoidance of accountbility and inattention to results.
I’m thinking building trust and security in the team is a good place to start. A-
