Yeah. I organized our own mission trip. I can see the lives of our youth change a lot for God glory.
I am praying that i can organize again a new mission trip with the youth that im handling now.
I remeber how great that time when we have it... that was way back 1998 to 2000. ;0
I pray that i can organize again. Praise God

We have approached our trips with a view to minister closely with missionaries our church already supports. We have a desire for our teens to get to know our missionaries and begin to see what ministry looks like to those who serve in other places. Since we take this approach we need to take on the planning ourselves with the missionaries input. We also tend to do more people to people ministry rather than work projects so there is a lot of planning that goes into that to make sure we can communicate well or to see how we can go about communicating in the area we find ourselves. We also tend to do a lot of sports outreach where we go and we have found that we can tailor-make a program for our missionaries that meets the exact desires they have. It is a lot of work, but the success God has given has been worth it.

Some years I do, and others I don't - depending on how much time I think I'll have when I decide where we're going. Last year we did a remarkable thing: we did our mission trip/camp right here in our own town. At first we were afraid that our youth would not sign up since we weren't really "going anywhere". But they realized that the most they got out of their mission experiences in the past were not the sites but the people and the service and the messages. Now those youth drive by the houses they worked on or run into the people they helped in grocery stores and it's even more meaningful. It took a lot of planning, but we'll do it again.

I don't know. Do I? On some aspects, there's quite a lot of logistics that I have to take care of in terms of getting to where we're going. On the other side, I do try to work with other organizations for the work trips and conferences we attend. So do I really organize the trips I lead? I guess it's yes and no.
