What are things that, if implemented, you believe would change the culture of your church to be the most irresistible group of people ever to be around?
Many of America’s churches are in decline.
People are viewing the church in an increasingly negative light more than ever.
Today a brand new book addressing these issues by founders of Group Publishing, Thom & Joani Schultz, has been released that we are really excited about called Why Nobody Goes to Church Anymore.
What we love about this book is that it not only provide data on the current state of the Church or just call out a problem, but instead goes a step further to provide implementable solutions called the Four Acts of Love. The biggest reasons for people disliking church are identified, and Jesus’ possible response is examined to build into these four acts.
Thom & Joani Schultz (and those who have read the book) would say that if you apply the Four Acts of Love, then you church will become irresistible to the hurting world around us. Read the book to learn more about just why it is people don’t want to go to church but also to learn more about the acts of love that could revitalize you and your church! You can also check it out, and like it on the Facebook page.
We would like to talk about these Four Acts of Love and start a discussion among us. But before we introduce the Four Acts from the book, we want to hear YOUR thoughts!
What are some examples of actions to take and language to adapt in our speech that you believe could make a huge difference in the type of environment your church is creating?
Tell us your ideas, and stay tuned over the next week to dig into the Four Acts of Love from the book one by one and continue the conversation!
We love you guys for loving students and being incredible thought leaders as well!
So what do you think? We seriously want to know!
