We’re only allowed one fundraiser a year. We put all of our energy and effort into a banquet. We rent a moderately high profile venue and make sure we have great food, entertainment, keynote speaker, and listed needs for our operating budget. We cast the vision tell stories of victory and position an ask. I love this because we are able to integrate 250-300 adults from within the community into the story and bring them onto the team. We get new leader opportunity, new advocates, and awareness of who we are and what we are doing. It’s the best fundraiser by far. In the past we did a car wash for camp but the twist was that students got sponsors before hand per car up to 100 so donors would know the limit. They raise their cost then collected afterward. The car wash was free to the community and an act of service so it helped both. And that’s all I got.
