The competition was fierce! The photos were great, and some of you have some incredible offices and many of you are working in glorified dungeons as well. But these two were the best of the best and the worst of the worst as judged by loyal Journey Volunteer Morgan K.

Worst Office View Goes to: Will Ray of Celebration Family Church in Raleigh NC.

Why did it win: Lets begin with the Alcatraz vibe, cracked foundation and claustrophobic feeling Morgan got looking at it. It is monochrome and not very soothing and this is why it was the “room with a view” worst view winner!

Best Office View Goes to: Doug Ranck of Santa Barbara California.

Why did it win: Morgan is a girl, loves the beach and having a view of the ocean is pretty awesome. It just looks relaxing and inspiring all at the same time.

The competition was fierce and hilarious with the almost unbelievable items that our contestants keep in their offices but the impartial MTDB Judge Emily vetted the responses chuckling loudly accross the hallway from my office and prayerfully decided that winning items for strangest items in your offices were.

Ryan – A taxadermied frog (possibly illegal)

Erik – Salvation Hot Sauce Collection

Brian – Pee Wee Herman and Chairee (where did you get this?)

Harry – A military practice bomb that he hands out as an award called “You’re Da Bomb”

I am a youth worker in Minneapolis and I’ve been honored to be one of your “guest posts” on your blog a couple of times – anyway, I am paid in full for the Simply Youth Ministry Conference in Louisville, but I am now unable to go. I talked to my team and the other youth guys in the area but they’re either already going or unable to attend – so I’m wondering if you might be able to give it away for me?
