Thanks to some much-needed time off over Thanksgiving break, the family Xbox 360 crossed 41,000 in Gamerscore. Still loving the new Kinect, and got a bunch of points from Kinect Sports (A-), Dance Central (A+), Wet (B) and HAWX 2 (B). Good times!

Just crossed the 40,000 mark on the Xbox 360 tonight – thanks in part to some fun gaming with friends on the kids’ new Kinect today (more on that soon). Our Gamerscore received a bump because of games like Sonic the Hedgehog 4: Episode 1 (A-), IL-2 Birds of Prey (C), and Bionic Commando (B). Good times!

Not sure if I want to post about my Gamerscore anymore after the brilliant Old Spice Youth Pastor video came out [tell me you've seen it - it is a MUST WATCH] – hahahah, I wish it was 29 million! Jumped 1,000 points on the Xbox 360, due to some quality time with Lost: Via Domus (C-), Legendary (B-) and LEGO Indiana Jones 2 (A-).

My Xbox 360 should be very happy – after just posting that we hit the 37,000 mark we jumped 7 days later to 38,054. Spent some quality time with HALO: Reach (A+), Terminator: Salvation (B-) and GI Joe: Rise of Cobra (B-). And if you think I’m addicted … how awesome is this goal?

Thanks to my kids and I doing some serious family gaming the past couple weeks – our Xbox 360 Gamerscore just crossed 37,000. We beat Pixar’s UP (B), Wall-E (B+) and GI Joe (B-). Now you know … and knowing is half the battle!

It has been too long since I passed another milestone on the Xbox 360 – one of the ways (of probably 5) that I measure successful “me” time away from youth ministry is my Gamerscore steadily increasing. And last night, helped by Frontlines: Fuel of War and Red Dead Redemption, we crossed 36,000. Finally!

Kotaku had an interesting story about a new Bible massively multiplayer game. Check out the original story for screenshots and everything, here’s a clip of what it will be like:
I’m willing to give this game a chance, because when you put the whole religious side of things in a box, the Old Testament – with its plagues and pestilence and pillars of salt – is pretty badass. The Bible Online is a new massively-multiplayer online game from German outfit FiAA, and will – over the course of many chapters – give players the chance to re-enact certain parts of the Bible.
In the beginning, there was…Chapter 1, The Heroes, which will be the first release of the game, and sounds a lot like Age of Empires (it looks a lot like it too), as you control Abraham and his descendants on their journey to the promised land.
As a Christian … and a gamer … my first reaction to Bible games are pretty rough. Here’s hoping it can be done right!

Quite a few emails and comments from people this summer about the new self-service Pastoral Care brochure racks we launched for our High School Ministry. Honestly, it has taken a whole lot longer to produce each brochure than we originally thought, and they’ve gone a lot faster than I expected – so it’s been totally worth it. Anyhow, some youth workers were recently asking about publishing a topic list of the different pamphlets, so here’s the list of ideas as of today. I wish we could have done them all, but some ideas had to get cut and only a few are [done].
