I love using my iPad, iPhone and Android devices for productivity. I am constantly looking for new and updated apps. If I can find an app that is similar to one I use and the new app is 5% or 10% better I will probably switch over.
That said, if you are looking to write on your mobile device you may want to check out Quickoffice. Yesterday Google announced that its Quickoffice mobile app is now free, the only hitch…you need a Google account (Does anyone not have a Google account?). With Quickoffice you can view and edit Microsoft Office files. This app was one of the more pricey apps in the app store, it was $14.99 for pro and $19.99 for pro HD. But now it is FREE!
Google also says, “While we’re on the topic of free stuff, if you sign in to your Google Account from the new Quickoffice app for Android or iOS by September 26, 2013, an extra 10GB of Google Drive storage will be added to your account for two years (look for it in the next few weeks.)” For more info on the free release click here….if you just want to get your thumbs on the app click one of the links below.
