Gas here is $1.79. Lowest I’ve seen it here in a mighty long time. My in laws in OK had $1.79 gas over a month ago. Why does it take so long for the price drop to travel 1300 miles?

*yeah, petrol’s down to 90p per litre here in the UK, including all taxes. According to google that is about $1.37 per litre. There are about 3.8 litres in a US gallon. Want to try $5.20 per gallon? :)
*Worst Week is yet another british show to go west! Though I never got round to watching it.
*youtube went wider, not HD. HD is usually understood to be 1280×720 or 1920×1080. Youtube’s video box is now 960×540. You still have to upload the video in a widescreen format (16:9) to take advantage of the new aspect ratio. It also helps if you can upload h264 encoded video. That way it looks even better. What would be really cool though would be if people, including broadcasters uploaded at higher frame rates. Strictly Come Dancing looks weird at youtube’s default framerate even in HQ (http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=DMLD63iYYZQ).

On petrol being more expensive in California: my guess is that it costs more to run a business in the Golden State. Refineries tend to be on the coast, so it doesn’t even have to go that far from source to gas station in CA.
