Great post-
We call this idea doing life together. It is our ongoing call to each other as leaders. We are in this together and doing life together, the good and the bad.

Have a great day! keep serving Christ.

as a volunteer, i can agree with you. i like what you said about life being poured back and forth. just this past weekend, my youth pastor and his family moved from a townhouse into a house and a bunch of us were there to help out. it was raining and icky but we were able to share in their big day and help them get settled in. i really feel like the team of leaders i'm a part of is so great. we're all bringing different things to the table and are at different places in our lives but we can all contribute. each year we either re-commit to the ministry or find another place to serve and i don't think we lost any leaders when we had sign-ups in august and in fact had more people wanting to work in the youth ministry. the youth pastor had to conduct interviews to see who would be the best fit - what a great problem to have; too many workers!!

Great post!
"Every last minute bomb you drop causes destruction on a volunteer/ministry relationship. " I have had to learn this the hard way. I have gotten a lot better but definitely have room for improvement.

Thanks for the reminder!
