back in my newspaper days, we once printed the april 1 edition upside down. some people got the joke. a lot didn’t. the life lesson: it’s ok to pull april 1 jokes as long as SOMEWHERE you say/note/joke/wink that it’s just a joke. otherwise people without a sense of humor just don’t get it.

then again, was april fools’ day even made for folks like that?

That is cool… I was preaching in big church last year on April 1st. I told them that I didn’t know that I was supposed to be preaching and that I wasn’t prepared. I had the worship leader stand up there and start to play softly for a time of prayer then, I told the crowd that I hoped they would enjoy the rest of April Fools Day. I got the whole church! It was awesome!
