Thanks Josh. I was looking for a review on this book from a source I trusted, and you gave it. I'm gonna check it out. Matthew's tweets are hilarious, so I'm sure the book is awesome. Thanks again.

Thanks for highlighting this. I'm going to look for it. I am always pleasantly surprised to reconnect with others from the same background and find that we've changed in many of the same ways. Sometimes I'm completely shocked--especially when it comes to some from college--to see the change, but it always makes me smile. I have to say that I'm thankful for parents who took things with a grain of salt....or rather, looked to the Bible instead of man's "wisdom."

Still attending a church from your past, but I don't doubt that it's changed a lot since we were kids...as have those who were there when we were kids.

This is so funny to read today. Long story short, my oldest daughter is in middle school. As I'm sure you can imagine, the cross-over from children to student ministry is huge! We attend a Church of Christ, but I want to be sure I provide as much Biblical information as I can (as a parent). I enrolled her in a Baptist program this weekend (and went along to volunteer - for 2 reasons: to listen/learn and to hear what they were teaching her). It was a tad bit STRONG and I left contemplating whether that would invite her to return or scare her to death! I have felt that leading by example is the best way to lead - but don't want to miss something that might change my daughter's life (for the best). As you know, children are leaving the church after high school and I don't want my daughter to be one of those statistics! Any advice you can offer is much appreciated!
