How else would we pay for things like roads, police and fire services, and schools? In fact, in my view, paying taxes is a very noble act of patriotism. Do I wish I took home more of my paycheck? Of course. But it's for the greater good. It’s amazing to me how “taxes” have gotten to be such a negative buzzword among many Republicans (and how many people have bought into that). How else would we pay for things like roads, police and fire services, and schools?

In fact, in my view, paying taxes is a very noble act of patriotism. Do I wish I took home more of my paycheck? Of course. But it’s for the greater good.

My church is supporting a team that has plans for a massive training/outreach to the remote villages of the Massai in Kenya set in April...and we're hoping they can go and do it.
