God is blessing us based not on the economy but on our faithful tithing. He is good! We have had most of our growth over the past year from families with children and teens. So that is our priority for next year. Even as far as building a playground in the church's front yard and putting down sod (we only have sand spurs and sand right now) on the other side for some volleyball and big bat games. Other churches in our area have playgrounds but they tuck them "out back". We want our church to scream "We love kids" as people drive by. Activities where students have to pay a registration fee sign up has been sluggish. In other words "it's who you know, not what you have"... ...or...um....something like that. I could retype it to sound more professional but, I just took medicine, so that may be a bad idea too. We were told by the camp director that every group that has brought students in this fall has been down significantly. We just started a major Building Fund Campaign for property and are trusting God. I have increased the youth budget about $1,500, but that will probably be cut down. The good thing is that they trimmed it to what they wanted and then allowed me to go back and make changes with the number they gave me. It's been cut, but we can still make it.
