ProPresenter from Day 1 here. Easy to use, flexible, and most importantly, reliable. I don’t have any experience with any of the other titles (well, used Powerpoint back in school, but that was years ago), but I can’t imagine any of them being superior to ProPresenter.

We use propresenter. Its the greatest presentation software, i think, out there. Media shout’s downfall is that its on a PC. Mac handle videos and backgrounds WAY better. In our worship center we have propresenter with the optional lower third w/alpha card (blackmagic decklink) and its amazing. We used to use the harris inscriber ($30K broadcast graphic genterator) for all of our L3′s. Propresenter does it just as clean and crisp, is alot more user friendly, and is taylored more to lyric presentation. We love it!

Amazed that powerpoint is the highest in there…..we’re ProPresenter all the way since switching from MediaShout last year.

We got this dadburn thing called an overhead projector. You can even write on it with marker. A huge step up from sister ethel’s flannel graph. But we do miss looking at those fantastic Bible character’s each week.

If you are not in the big time, and want to look like it. YOU HAVE TO GET A MAC. It will take care of your video, media and everything else. If you think powerpoint is cool, KEYNOTE is in another category. It is so cheap compared to the big box presenter software. IMOVIE is another piece that will make you look like a genius.

Pro Presenter is amazing. We tried some PC based software years ago, but it froze and caused numerous problems as well as non-user friendly preparation.

For our weekend students services we use:

Pro Presenter: worship lyrics, backgrounds and videos
Keynote: message notes
Pro video player: Center screen videos/backgrounds

Mac baby yeah!

We use Easy Worship for both youth events and regular church events. They issue free updates and patches, you can import PowerPoint Presentations and you can also run live video behind the words (I’ve never tried it though). Their Customer Service is good too. It is a bit pricey initially, but it’s roughly the same price as MediaShout and Songshow Plus. It’s fairly easy to train volunteers to operate it too.

Our main service uses Mediashout but will be switching to ProPresenter soon. The youth and women’s ministry have been using ProPresenter for over an year. My wife does a lot of the multimedia stuff for the church and ProPresenter has allowed her to do some really impressive presentations. We also use both PowerPoint and Keynote in our presentations and PP makes the switch between the two very smooth. MediaShout has problems switching. PP also makes playing video clips very quick and easy. The only problem we have had is cueing DVDs. The PP people are great to work with and provide updates all the time.

The church does not own a copy of PP yet. My wife brings her MacBookPro when she does presentations. My wife is proficient with both MediaShout and PP and prefers PP hands down.

The church plans to replace the Dell they currently use with a iMac running both WindowsXP and OS X using BootCamp. They plan to install their copy of MediaShout and Windows PowerPoint on the Windows side to aid in the transition. On the OS X side they will install PP, Mac PowerPoint, and Keynote.

we are wanting to which to ProPresenter.
id love to hear some of the problems or quirks you’ve had with it.

We use two pieces of software. We use something called Pro Worship for our worship presentation. We had some frustrations with Pro Presenter so a guy on staff wrote a new software. It was actually featured on Apple’s website for awhile.

Hi,
Actually I wish our youth group had a projector so I could use some sort of media. Our church is in a low income neighborhood and most of our fundraisers are for going to Camp or our annual Conference so its hard to fundraise for certain items. I have been praying for a projector and I know God is leading us in that direction, but all I can do is wait and pray. But I can’t wait for a projector, I want to be able to use powerpoint and videos for my lessons. I can’t wait.

We actually use PowerPoint (which I voted for, as it’s my favorite of the two) and Easy Worship. I couldn’t vote for both, but there it is. Does that make us bilingual in some way?

http://www.opensong.org/ is what we use … we have Media Shout 2.5 I think on the same laptop but we have found in our smaller setting that Open Song takes care of both the presentation and the cost is perfect We even donated to them to tell them to keep going!
