Other fun notes from Idol Gives Back tonight:
- Reese Witherspoon’s monitor was off so they stopped the show and reset after her big introduction
- The crowd was even louder for her second introduction
- Videos from all 3 presidential candidates will air on the show
- John McCain’s video was terrible quality and “not up to our standards,” producer Nigel noted he hoped it would be replaced by the time the show aired and no offense to Republicans
- John Legend and Fergie did an exact reprise of their Grammy performance
- Jimmy Kimmel makes fun of Simon Cowell’s nipples, Simon gets him back later
- Annie Lennox was super inspiring and her song was a little haunting
- Miley Cyrus was the only one to get 2 songs, and easily stole the live show
- Snoop Dogg brought up his whole innercity football team on stage
- Seacrest said the show will raise over 100M this year
- The Prime Minister of England pledged 200M toward mosquito nets
- Jordan Sparks was in the crowd but will perform on Thursday’s results show
- High School Musical 3 is filming right now, so several stars of that show only appeared on video

That’s a real shame that Fergie re-created her Grammy performance. She really embarrassed John that night…He is way too good to be stuck on stage with her…
i gotta tell ya. i am quite a bit jealous. I’m a big fan (go jason!!) I tried to go to the finale last year. I was “in the area” with some friends, but none of them wanted to go and I didn’t have a car.
oh well. At least I can live vicariously through you my friend. Thanx for all the twitter updates. That was fun! almost felt like I was there.
