Video Game Review: Army of Two

The game sets out to set the bar inexplicitly high - to have the best co-op experience in a shooter ever. And while the game succeeds in some respects, terrible enemy intelligence and dodgy crosshair control make the experience a little less dazzling. The game boasts about 5 hours of running and gunning gameplay, with a few innovative twists along the way. There’s no doubt the game should be played with 2 people, and the “back to back” sequences are fun. But overall, it is basically a poor-man’s single player from Call of Duty 4 or Halo 3 with two guys needing to open each door instead of one. I imagine Vegas 2 is about 2 times as good.

All in all fun game to rent, or an enjoyable game to play though in one sitting with a buddy sitting on the couch, but that’s about it. B-

I actually really dug the game. Being forced to play xbox constantly by most of my guy friends, it is the first game in a while that I enjoyed playing. The back to back gameplay is killer! But Vegas 2 is good too, the graphics are pretty amazing.
