We use email without hesitation, even though it has some of the same ramifications you listed. Really, the question is what format do you want the information to be posted - email, internal tool, face to face conversation. I think there&#039;s room for all 3 - and being an ultra-outgoing guy myself, face to face is my favorite.

The more focused but open communication we have in general, the more interaction is encouraged on a broad scale. For example: If you work and update in the &quot;public space&quot; ala Basecamp, there is a chance for others to give input, encourage, build on an idea, share a differing viewpoint.
